Here’s the deal: I don’t like being told that I’m not fat/ugly. I know y’all say it because you’re being caring and nice, but the thing is, is I see myself as fat and ugly, so someone telling me I’m slim and pretty won’t magically change that. I love y’all and I’m not being a bitch or telling you to stop, I’m just clearing it all up.

…It’s all a matter of perception…If you see your self as fat and ugly, then you feel that way…We see you as someone who’s struggling with self image problems and tell you how we see you; cute / pretty / beautiful / slim / height -weight proportionate, and try to reassure you that it will pass.

I had self worth / self image problems when I was a teenager too…I grew out of them, but it was a ” fml ” experience while I was going thru it. Just try not to let it get out of control, and be aware that there are people around who are concerned and have been thru similar frustrations.
